Research has shown that regular meditation provides significant relief from a variety of stress-related physical and mental problems, a stronger immune system, longer life span, increased energy and positive changes in brain function. Also, results from a study Massachusetts General Hospital research project showed that the gray matter of men and women who meditated for just 40 minutes a day was thicker than that of people who did not, and those who meditated showed a thickening of the brain's cerebral cortex, which is responsible for decision making, attention and memory. Amazing, right?More research and stats on meditation are included in this article from Massage Today, along with tips on how to get started, but what better way to really learn how to meditate and reap the rewards than through a live class?
