Two Bananas For Breakfast to Lose Weight?

Great advice, bananas are the perfect healthy fruit and people should definately eat more. Apples are also good for breakfast if you don't have bananas, and they can even wake you up better than any tea or coffee can.

I used to have 2 bananas a day but my naturopath said all the fruit i was having ( i was having alot more fruit than just the 2 bananas) was bad for my digestive system.

The fruit didn't cause the problem but the fruit wasn't helping it.

So now i have 1 banana a day for breackfast which is actually helping alot.

I've recommended my brisbane boxing clients to do the same.

Personally though, if i could have it my way, i would have bananas all day long lol

Bananas are good but I would recommend not just eating bananas. Maybe add some vegetables with them would be better. Well, as long as you eat something else later you don't have to modify the two banana idea.

I had not heard about this banana theory before, but as a rule, I usually have a banana every day for breakfast - I'll try two for a while. They are filling so that may be a little difficult! I mix my banana with some berries which have lots of health benefits and sometimes a handful of nuts. (I think I was a bear in a previous life)

I'd heard before that Bananas were good for you but had never thought of having two at a time, let alone two for breakfast. It is important through to vary your diet and eat different types of fruit and veg to make sure you get all the vitamins and nutrients you need.

I'd be inclined to disagree that 2 bananas per day is great for weight loss.

Bananas rank high on the glycemic index, and are full of carbs. For sedentary individuals, I recommend to limit daily intake to 1 banana per day.

Although bananas may be good for you, too much could be detrimental to your body. We consume way to much carbs these days and thus causing our bodies to store sugar as fat. By increasing our protein intake, our body will produce more glucagon which is a hormone responsible increasing your metabolism. This was you will burn ab fat instead of storing it.

I am not a fan of bananas due to their affect on your insulin levels. I have always been a fan of low fat, high carb diets, but recently started a low carb diet after reading a few books on the topic. If those books are right, carbohydrates, not fat, are the reason we are getting fatter. Taubes writes a couple excellent books on this topic for anyone interested.
