Recess for Grown-Ups?

If you think recess is just for kiddos, think again. A new National Physical Activity Plan has been released and it's goal is to promote physical activity in all areas of life--health care, business, neighborhoods, etc.--and make exercise a normal part of life for everyone. By "exercise," they're not talking about long hours at the gym getting sweaty, but rather small doable chunks of activity to make all of us less sedentary.

One of the group's ideas? Ten-minute recess breaks over the course of a work day, like this company is doing. Talk about being better than a coffee or smoke break!

I really like this concept. The reason people drink so much coffee is because they are doing something boring and repetitive. So the only way to get through it, is with coffee.

You ever do something you liked and needed to drink a coffee to stay awake? Rarely, but only if you are super tired.

How about a 30 min yoga break, I think that would be outstanding.

First of all, thanks for sharing the inspiring Idea.
Second of all, I'm totally with Natan on this - They should do this program on Yoga!
This will make a HUGE difference in peoples lives. Make them better folks and better healthier employees.
Keep up the good work

This is a great idea. Thanks for sharing with us your articles. I too love to drink coffee most of the day. I also think there should be a 1 hour sleep break if that would be allowed. Kudos!

Sport is an activity that is important and good for the body. Many types of sports that we can do, such as running, soccer, badminton, fitness in the gym. But we must consider the time off as long as we do sports activities, our bodies need to rest for a while to maintain the condition of our bodies. All of it must also be balanced by eating a healthy and nutritious. ~ Kesehatan

That would be lovely to do. Instead of smoking and doing nothing right, I believe this can turn into a good habit. Thanks for this idea.
