We have all heard how bad environmental hormones are for us, and how prolific they are in our foods, particularly in meat and dairy products. However a recent news report is pretty startling. According to the report: Female infants in China who have been fed formula have been growing breasts.According to a Chinese newspaper, medical tests done on the babies between four and 15 months old showed estrogen levels as high as what's normally seen in adult women. The jury is still out as to exactly what--it may be many causes--is causing the spike, but it's definitely cause for concern.

I would like to say that it is very disturbing.
Not only Hormones, which are now being used, but many other things, such as genetically engineered food, and pesitice infested food is introduced to us and to our babies through breast milk. I suggest this article on vegetables nutrition to get a bigger picture of how crazy this is.eat well and stay healthy.

Well, eating is very hard to control specially if it is your favorite food like chocolates, cakes etc. But of course, an individual is responsible on his own health. There's nothing wrong eating what you want as long as it ill not be dangerous to your health.

The technologies for growing food have been developed for the sole purpose of reducing the time to harvest - simple economics. Often, though, the economic factors take precedence over the quality of the food grown. By quality I mean the "amount of goodness". A vegetable or fruit may look wonderful on the outside, but in terms of goodness be a pauper.
Added to the above is the continued refining of food. In every type of food, we have refined products that are basically processed for convenience and storage.
I suppose some refining is not bad, the issue is we get further and further removed from the original product with original goodness being lost.
Milk is a classic example - we have pasteurised, homogenised, low fat, Calcium enriched, and now Fizzy milk!! It would be interesting to compare the basic qualities of raw milk from the cow to some of these derivatives - we might get surprised.
It is a pity that by a process of attrition our food values get degraded by the shortening of the cashflow cycle so that farmers, basically, can maintain their businesses with less risk. The pesticides and hormones must have some impact professional hair dryers
And still, this research have proved that no matter what breast milk from Mom is the best milk for babies and infants. Keep feeding the babies with the "real" milk. Thanks for this great information. Mothers should take this as learning point.
