USA Today noted a spike in massage therapists jobs as a result of an increased number of spas and massage clinics around the country. According to USA Today, massage therapy has seen a whopping 162 percent 10-year job growth and employs a total of 71,040 people. The median annual pay for a massage therapist is $35,970.

The massage therapy program at WellSpring provides training that includes resume preparation, effective interview techniques, plus a Career Services department that helps to connect students with better employers. The school features an 82 percent career placement rate for massage therapy graduates, but the truth is, job openings are so plentiful, anyone who wants to work in the field will find a spot.

Students can increase employability by enrolling in the Massage Diploma Program, where they can be certified to become a massage therapy practitioner in just over a year, or they can enroll in the Integrative Massage and Wellness Degree Program and complete it in as few as 18 months. Graduates of this program earn an associate degree of occupational studies and are credentialed as either a master massage therapist, or a massage therapist and certified personal trainer.
